I am a human first, an artist second, and a technician through it all.

I grew up in a home filled with music. My mother is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and had a career as a record executive, and my father is a composer working in film and television. We had a recording studio in our living room and from my tween-age years on, I would spend my free time experimenting and making music. I attended LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & Performing Arts with a focus on drums, and received the equivalent of two years of collegiate level conservatory education. From there it was on to University of Michigan for a degree in Performing Arts Technology with a heavy emphasis on music composition, production, and the recording arts.

This has been a dream for as long as I can remember and I feel incredibly lucky and grateful that it seems to be coming true. I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented musicians, producers, and creators on music that moves me. My name has ended up attached to work by independent and major label artists. Work licensed to Fox, Showtime, and Apple. Work that has appeared on billboard charts. And even something that garnered a Grammy nomination. Every work day I get to do the thing I love. It is truly a gift.

Part of my fortune has been taking my work remote, as I’m not tethered to a particular place. This has meant being nearly exclusively in the box and working most heavily on the back end of the production process. Even in the couple of decades that I’ve been doing this, recording technology has advanced immensely, and I’ve been able to develop systems to facilitate deep collaboration at a distance.
